HP 250 G4 Bargain Laptop

HP 250 G4 Bargain Laptop

Welcome to a Biomedical Battery specialist of the HP Laptop Battery

Small businesses have a number of choices these days when it comes to outfitting employees with affordable computers. HP has thrown another option into the ring with its 250 G4, an affordable budget laptop that comes with a full-fat Intel Core processor that's more capable of handling business applications compared to others in its price range.

It can be picked up for as little as £224 (around US$269) online, which places it squarely in budget territory and even on an even footing with Chromebooks and low-end 2-in-1 devices.

In terms of its design with battery like HP HSTNN-LB6V Battery, HP 246 G4 Notebook PC Battery, HP 256 G4 Notebook PC Battery, HP 14g-ad004TX Battery, HP TPN-Q132 Battery, HP 15g-ad007TX Battery, HP 15q-aj006TX Battery, HP 15q-aj105TX Battery, HP Pavilion 15-ac166TX Battery, HP Pavilion 15-ac196TX Battery, HP Pavilion 15-ac636TX Battery, HP ProBook 450 G2 Battery, the 15.6-inch 250 G4 looks like a budget offering. That's not saying much these days, with bargain bucket devices such as HP's own Stream 11 and Stream 14 bringing a splash of color to the low-end. Howeverr, the 250 G4 really is clad in black plastic from head-to-toe (or lid to keyboard base). HP has attempted to make it look less boring by giving the black base a thatched diamond effect, which is repeated in a silver mesh pattern on the lid, but it doesn't prevent the machine from looking dull.

Even at the low-end, laptop makers have reduced the travel of their device's keyboards - and the 250 G4 is no exception. Its chiclet-spaced keys are of a decent size and typing is as pleasurable and fast as you will experience on a laptop in this price category. There's a roomy trackpad underneath that refrains from sticking as you scroll across it, and is paired with click buttons that both feel and sound cheap to use.

There's not much to shout about where the G410's display is concerned. Its lowly pixel-resolution of 1,366 x 768 is too cramped for multi-tasking and makes it difficult to pin apps or browsers side-by-side to use simultaneously. However, this is compensated somewhat by the display's high peak brightness which makes it easy to read websites, menus and labels without eye fatigue.

Horizontal viewing angles are average at best due to the TN panel used, and vertical ones are even worse. Color saturation and contrast is sufficient for everyday web browsing and general use, but you would be better off hooking up a desktop monitor for image editing.

The good news is that you can at least hook up the G410 to an external display using either the VGA or HDMI port build along the left-hand edge. They're accompanied by an ethernet port, two USB 2.0 ports, in addition to an optical drive, another USB port and an SDcard slot.

A low-resolution display is the all that mars an otherwise impressive package here. It's rare that you'll get an Intel Core-series processor lurking in a laptop like the HP 250 G4, and that alone means that businesses should at least consider it for workers who undertake certain tasks. It's not the prettiest or lightest 15-inch laptop out there, and users will need to hook it up to an external display for working with multiple applications or browser windows side-by-side.

HP 2000 PC Notebook Review

HP 2000 PC Notebook Review

Welcome to a Biomedical Battery specialist of the HP Laptop Battery

I'm not an expert by far on computers and this was why I bought the HP 2000 with battery such as HP 2000 Notebook PC Battery, HP G62 Battery, HP Pavilion dv5-3000 Battery, HP Pavilion dv4-4000 Battery, HP Pavilion dv3-4200 Battery, HP HSTNN-I84C Battery, HP HS03 Battery, HP HS04 Battery, HP G72 Battery, HP HSTNN-PB6S Battery, HP HSTNN-PB6T Battery, HP HSTNN-LB6U Battery because I wasn't educated on computers. When I brought it home I was super excited to use it. I mainly surf the web, check email, and an occasional survey. I don't do facebook or twitter but I will watch a video or 2 on YouTube. The HP 2000 met those needs when that was the ONLY thing I did. When I decided to upload some photos and surf the web at the same time, the computer displayed a warning that I was maximum storage, which at that time I didn't understand what it meant. This HP come with Windows 8 and Microsoft Home installed on it. I wanted to upgrade to 8.1 but it required memory and this computer lacks memory. This computer is for basic surfing the web, checking emails, but it's not meant to have more than one program used at one time. I tend to switch back and forth between programs and this computer was slow doing that. After some research My advice is at the very least to get a CPU: AMD A6, A8 or A10/ Intel i3
for the very least to get MEMORY: 4GB , 6GB or 8GB never settle for 2GB. I ended up taking this HP back after owning it for a couple of weeks and spent the same amount on a better computer that was on sale at a reasonable price. Don't get me wrong this was a beautiful computer it had all the basics but I knew later on down the road I would regret this purchase, might as well buy exactly what you want instead of settling for less.

Ease of Use
Like with anything knew it takes time to learn, I had to learn Windows 8 which I am not a huge fan of.

Battery Life
I never let the battery run down, but I didn't own this computer long.

Support & Service
It seemed to have a great support and tech partnership.

Speed/Performance
Just not fast enough for me. I'm used to a slow desktop and this computer couldn't perform basic programs running simultaneously.

Design
Love the sleek look of this computer. The keyboard was neat and modern.

Durability
Built with quality.

Dell Inspiron 7737 CN77304 Notebook

Dell Inspiron 7737 CN77304 Notebook

Welcome to a Biomedical Battery specialist of the DELL Laptop Battery

Without great pomp or circumstance, Dell has announced a new era for its premium consumers with its Inspiron 7000-series. The models with battery such as DELL 451-BBFS Battery, DELL G0G2M Battery, DELL 5K1GW Battery, DELL 451-BBFX Battery, DELL Inspiron 15 7537 Battery, DELL Inspiron 17 7737 Battery, DELL Inspiron N7537 Battery, DELL Inspiron N7746 Battery, DELL Inspiron N7737 Battery, DELL Latitude E7420 Battery, DELL Inspiron 7737 Battery, DELL 2CP9F Battery each sit in an aluminum case cast out of a single piece (including base and lid). But is such a top-of-the-line chassis worth the purchase price of 800 to 1,149 Euros (~$1070-1530, test configurations)? The 15-inch Inspiron 15-7537 already made a good impression in our tests -- how does it look for the current 17-inch model?

To place it properly in its market environment, we gathered three previous test products that lie around the Inspiron 17 (7737 CN77304) in terms of price. The Asus N750JV-T4110H (i7-4700HQ, GT 750M) for 1,300 Euros (~$1740) brings very impressive bodywork to the table; like the Toshiba Satellite S70-A-10F (i7-4700MQ, GT 740M), it's based on a standard voltage notebook processor. While Toshiba charges 1,130 Euros (~$1510), it looks like a bargain in comparison with the Acer Aspire V7-582PG-74508G52tkk (i7-4500U, GT 750M). The same CPU-GPU combination costs "only" 1,000 Euros (~$1335) in our test product.

The Intel Core i7-4500U already played the main role in the Inspiron 15-7537.

Next to the cheaper i5-4200U, it is Dell's only CPU alternative. Once again, it is noticeable: even in the large 17-inch model, the manufacturer chooses not to install the 47-Watt standard quad-core mobile processors (for example, Core i7-4700MQ), that Toshiba, for example, uses in its Satellite S70-A-10F. We will examine in the following sections whether this causes drawbacks in performance.

With two cores, the i7-4500U has a clock speed of 1.8 to 3.0 GHz (TDP 15 W) at its disposal. The Haswell CPU supports Hyperthreading, as well as the new AVX2 upgrade. Our data bank is ready for details like these and additional features.

As a top-of-the-line-model, our Inspiron 17 comes out not only with an HD Graphics 4400 integrated in the processor, but also with a dedicated GeForce GT 750M. This card is in the upper middle-class lineup and should master most current games with no problem.

Toshiba's Satellite S70-A-10F (48 Wh) may seem like the strongest competitor for performance (CPU), but it is also the competitor with the shortest run times. It manages only half the time of our 7737 (WLAN Test 6 hours, 25 minutes).

This is partly down to its capacity; our test product brings 58 Watt-hours to the table. The Asus N750 (70 Wh) and Acer's Aspire V7-582PG (53 Wh) are not too far behind; they perform neck and neck with each other, at about 4 hours, 30 minutes.

The low-voltage CPU demonstrates its worth in our run time test under load; here it outpaces the Satellite S70-A-10F by 64%. This time, we made us of the Battery Eater Classic Test, which renders a graphic.

The whole is more than the sum of its parts. Dell proves it has a knack for combining state-of-the-art multimedia hardware with a visually pleasing, top-of-the-line chassis. Customers should have no problem putting this model up on the table, since it is both distinguished and fit for daily work. The 7737 does everything right as far as desk placement; the sufficiently cool and fingerprint-free case cuts a fine figure under one's hands.

Still, users with high expectations of stability will be disappointed: A MacBook's or Asus Zenbook Unibody's resistance to twisting is missing from the Dell; even though the base is made from a single piece of metal (a plastic underside with hinge reduces firmness and stability).

On the part of the Full HD panel, the 7737 offers rich color and brightness, and it is well armed with wide viewing angles. Still, it does not achieve the quality of an IPS panel, which is built into its sister model, the 7537. Anyway, the competition does not have the perfect display up their sleeves either (TN, except for the Aspire V7).

Users looking for an eye-catching design should consider the Asus N750. It is a bit more expensive, but it boasts both excellent stability in its base and a speedier Standard Voltage Core i7.

Dell Latitude E7240 Touch NoteBook

Dell Latitude E7240 Touch NoteBook

Welcome to a Biomedical Battery specialist of the DELL Laptop Battery

The Dell Latitude E7240 Touch looks to usher in a new era of business notebooks that combine fast performance and strong security with sexy design. Starting at $1,175 ($1,665 as configured), the E724 sports a sleek carbon fiber lid, 12.5-inch full HD touch display and a fourth-generation Intel processor paired with a 128GB SSD. Add it all up and this Latitude has the makings of a stunning powerhouse.

The Dell Latitude E7240 with battery such as DELL 451-BBFW Battery, DELL WD52H Battery, DELL 9C26T Battery, DELL GVD76 Battery, DELL HJ8KP Battery, DELL J31N7 Battery, DELL KWFFN Battery, DELL NCVF0 Battery, DELL VFV59 Battery, DELL Y9HNT Battery, DELL Latitude E7240 Battery, DELL Latitude E7250 Battery is one of the best-looking business laptops yet. The lid is constructed of an attractive matte-black carbon fiber weave that features an understated cross-hatching pattern and is nicely resistant to fingerprints. A gray, circular Dell logo in the center of the lid provides the sole flourish.

The deck sports a similarly all-black look and soft-touch finish that's comfortable for the wrists. The keyboard rests in a slight depression, and the touchpad is centered beneath the G and H keys. We like that the arrow keys are positioned slightly below the keyboard; we found that this makes it much easier to navigate within a document and reduces the number of errors when typing. We also appreciate that the Latitude boasts discrete buttons for Volume Up, Volume Down and Mute, positioned above the keyboard at the top left corner of the deck.

At 12.2 x 8.3 x 0.79 inches and 2.99 pounds, the Latitude E7240 is slightly more compact than the $1,499 Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch (12.35 x 8.62 x 0.71 inches, 3.46 pounds) and the $1,399 Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus (12.6 x 8.8 x 0.54 inches, 3.2 pounds). The $2,219 Sony VAIO Pro 13, on the other hand, is a whisk thinner (0.68 inches thick) and lighter (2.4 pounds). The ThinkPad X240 weighs 3.2 pounds with its standard battery.

On the LAPTOP Battery Test, which involves continuous Web surfing on 40 percent brightness, the Dell Latitude E7240 lasted just 5 hours and 27 minutes. This runtime falls just shy of the ultraportable average (6:18), and pales in comparison with the Sony VAIO Pro 13 (7:20), Lenovo X240 (7:40 with its standard battery), Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus (8:06) and Apple MacBook Pro (9:31). We expect more endurance from an ultraportable. Also, Dell does not currently offer an extended battery option for the E7240.

Our review configuration features a 1.9-GHz Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD, along with a full 1920 x 1080 IPS display, which brings its total price to $1,665. The top-end preconfigured model, which costs $1,749, has a 2.1-GHz Intel Core i7-4600U processor, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD.

The starting model, which costs $1,179, has a 1.7-GHz Intel Core i3-4010U processor, 4GB of RAM, a 128GB SSD, a 1366 x 768 non-touch display and Windows 7 Professional.

Dell also offers two options for wireless broadband connectivity: A Dell Wireless DW5570 HSPA+/42Mbps Full Mini Card, or a Gobi 4G LTE Full Mini Card compatible with AT&T, Verizon Wireless and Sprint.

Shoppers looking to save some money also have the option to downgrade the Latitude E7240 to 1GB or 2GB of RAM, a 1366 x 768 display and a smaller 3-cell Lithium Ion battery.

With the Latitude E7240 Touch, Dell has really spruced up its line of business notebooks. We love this laptop's sturdy design and attractive carbon fiber lid. We also appreciate the vivid 1920 x 1080 touch display, excellent keyboard and robust security.

Unfortunately, this laptop's 4-cell battery doesn't last nearly as long as competing Ultrabooks -- and there's currently no extended battery option.

Among 12-inch business notebooks, we prefer the Lenovo ThinkPad X240 (about $100 less similarly configured). Although it's not as modern looking and weighs more, the ThinkPad offers much longer battery life. Still, the Latitude E7240 Touch is a powerful and elegant business notebook.

Dell Latitude 7280 Business Notebook

Dell Latitude 7280 Business Notebook

Welcome to a Biomedical Battery specialist of the DELL Laptop Battery

A great ultraportable business notebook needs several key components, including speed, security, durability and endurance. The 12-inch Dell Latitude 7280 (tested at $1,830; starting at $1,029) has all of the above, thanks to its 7th-generation Intel Core i7 processor and impressive battery life with battey like DELL 34GKR Battery, DELL F38HT Battery, DELL G95J5 Battery, DELL 451-BBFY Battery, DELL PFXCR Battery, DELL T19VW Battery, DELL 909H5 Battery, DELL 451-BBFV Battery, DELL Latitude E7440 Battery, DELL Latitude E7420 Battery, DELL 3RNFD Battery, DELL Latitude E7450 Battery . Plus, this lightweight system is built to survive short drops.

The Latitude 7280's black magnesium-alloy chassis is thin and nondescript, with a glowing-white power-indicator light on the front edge. The soft-touch paint used on the lid and deck gives the chassis a good feel and makes it easy to grip.

Dell placed the Latitude's HDMI port, a USB 3.0 port, an optional smart-card reader and an optional Thunderbolt 3 USB Type-C port on the left side of the notebook. The laptop's headphone jack, SD memory reader, headphone jack and Ethernet port are on its right side.

Our test unit included a manufacturing problem we've seen before in other laptops: Its underside was unbalanced, with the bottom-right corner not lying flush when on a table. When placing my wrists on the deck to type, I noticed the right corner moved down and touched the table underneath, repositioning the far-left corner in the air. When Dell shipped us a replacement unit, we noticed the same issue, but to a lesser degree that we may not have noticed had it not been for the first unit.

I highly recommend you invest an additional $42 on the optional four-cell battery. If you do, you can leave the Latitude 7280's power cable at home, as the notebook lasted 12 hours and 29 minutes on the Laptop Mag Battery Test (continuous web surfing over Wi-Fi). That beats the times posted by the EliteBook (9:23), the three-cell version of the ThinkPad (8:16) and the average for ultraportable notebooks (8:10). Only the ThinkPad, with its optional six-cell battery, lasted longer, at an incredible 17:14.

We reviewed a customization of the Core i7-7600U model that starts at $1,619 and includes vPro technology and the six-cell battery. A model upgraded with a 256GB SSD, a 1080p display with an IR camera, a fingerprint reader, a smart-card reader and contactless a smart-card reader costs $1,830.

The $1,029 entry-level Latitude 7280 sports a Core i3-7100U processor, 4GB of RAM, a 128GB SSD, a 1366 x 768 display and a three-cell, 42-Wh battery. The Core i5-7200 CPU model of the system costs $1,169 and includes 4GB of RAM, a 128GB SSD and a 1366 x 768-pixel display.

The Dell Latitude 7280 packs speedy performance, a bright display and fantastic battery life into a thin, light design that's easy to carry. However, the screen isn't as colorful as we'd like, and the price can get pretty high, depending on which configuration you choose.

Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming Laptop review

Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming Laptop review

Welcome to a Biomedical Battery specialist of the DELL Laptop Battery

Dell’s Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming Laptop has a little secret that’s good news for budget-minded gamers. It’s hard to tell from the product information online, but one GPU option for this laptop is Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1060 Max-Q. Max-Q GPUs manage performance closely to balance heat and noise, allowing powerful chips to go into lighter, slimmer, quieter laptops. The Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming Laptop with battery such as DELL Alienware M17X R4 Battery, DELL 6MT4T Battery, DELL G5M10 Battery, DELL 7V69Y Battery, DELL R9XM9 Battery, DELL 8V5GX Battery, DELL WYJC2 Battery, DELL Latitude 3150 Battery, DELL Latitude 3160 Battery, DELL Latitude E5250 Battery, DELL Latitude E5450 Battery, DELL Latitude E5550 Battery offers Max-Q in a SKU that supports 1080p gaming and comes in just under $1,000. It’s a great value.

That’s right: With the gift-giving season in full swing, we found the version we tested, with a Core i5, GeForce GTX 1060 Max-Q GPU, 8GB of DDR4/2400 RAM and 256GB SSD, for $949. Here are more details.

CPU: Core i5-7300HQ. This is a 7th-generation Kaby Lake CPU with its Hyper-Threading permanently turned off. For most traditional gaming, a quad-core without Hyper-Threading suffices. Dell also offers a 7th-gen Core i7 option.

RAM: 8GB of DDR4/2400. There’s just one memory module in the Inspiron, so it’s operating in single-channel mode rather than dual-channel mode. This would be more disappointing if there weren’t a discrete GPU. We’d also prefer gaming laptops to offer 16GB of RAM, but it’s an easy upgrade (more on that later).

GPU: The star of the show is the GeForce GTX 1060 with Max-Q. We’re not sure why Dell isn’t making the distinction clearer between a Max-Q part and a full-on GTX 1060 GPU. Given the strong results from our test unit, it’s not the compromise we were expecting, so why not crow about it?

Display: When we reviewed this laptop’s predecessor last year, we didn’t like its atrocious TN panel. Fast-forward to the present day, and the 15.6-inch display is now an IPS screen—but a decidedly mediocre one. While still better than a TN panel, our review unit’s display had a dull look to it, probably influenced by the low maximum brightness of about 230 nits.

Even if most large laptops sit on a desk 90 percent of the time, we still want to know how long the battery will last. In this case, we’re glad we checked.

To measure the Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming Laptop, we played a 4K video file using Windows 10’s Movies & TV player. Normally we’d set the brightness to 250 to 260 nits, but this laptop’s screen maxes out at 230 nits. That’s a bit subpar and one of the few drawbacks in an overall nice machine.

You’d expect a dimly lit display to help the laptop last longer, but we got just five hours of video playback. While that time is in line with what the Dell XPS 15 and the Alienware 15 R4 delivered, both of those laptops were run at 250-260 nits’ brightness, and the Dell XPS 15 uses a power-eating 4K touch display. The Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming Laptop is doing less with less.

Even more puzzling is comparing the performance of the Inspiron 15 7000 that we reviewed earlier this year, which pulled down nearly 8 hours of run time. That’s pretty amazing, but it also had a dimmer screen (and TN), so we can’t explain the disparity here. Just remember to pack the power brick.

HP ENVY 750-150 Review

HP ENVY 750-150 Review

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the HP Laptop Battery

One of the reasons the HP ENVY 750 with battery like HP ProBook 4330s Battery, HP ProBook 4430s Battery, HP ProBook 4436s Battery, HP ProBook 4530s Battery, HP ProBook 4535s Battery, HP HSTNN-DB2R Battery, HP HSTNN-IB2R Battery, HP HSTNN-LB2R Battery, HP HSTNN-I02C Battery, HP HSTNN-OB2T Battery, HP TPN-Q144 Battery, HP HSTNN-Q89C Battery is the best home computer in our review is its processor. Built around a fourth-generation Intel i5-4690K 3.5GHz processor, this machine can handle intensive programs, video streaming, gaming and data-heavy webpages. The CPU received a PassMark score of 7,703 – the highest of any home computer we reviewed. This score comes from CPUBenchmark.net, a third-party evaluation site, and shows that the device is plenty capable of handling whatever you throw at it. While processors with scores over 5,000 are considered good, computers with processors that score over 7,500 are great for those who may use their computers more heavily.

The computer produces decent graphics with its Intel HD Graphics 530 graphics card setup in the base model, though this is far from the most powerful graphics card setup. If you have any interest in watching high-quality video or playing games, there’s a lot left to be desired with the Intel 530 card. Fortunately, if you purchase this system directly from the manufacturer, you can opt for a more powerful graphics card, up to a 6GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980Ti.

It comes with high-definition Bang & Olufsen audio, allowing you to enjoy powerful audio in a variety of setups. It has a versatile SuperMulti DVD/CD drive, that can read and write to and from many formats, including DVD-RAM, CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW and double-layer DVD.

Unlike most other PC computers, this one has two HDMI outputs, so you can connect to a high-definition TV or up to three monitors. Additionally, it has a DVI port for monitor connection, if you prefer. You can connect more peripherals and accessories than with other computers because it comes with four USB 3.0 ports for fast data transfers.

The tower allows you to connect to a Wireless-AC router, so it doesn’t have to be tethered with an Ethernet cord, though you can also use the 10/100Base-T Ethernet LAN port if you choose. It also has Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity you can use to connect your computer to wireless devices and accessories.

If you’re a power user or your family members like to regularly use the computer, the HP ENVY 750 is a great option and one of the most powerful, and it can keep up with your busy lives. It has the fastest processor of any computer we reviewed, as well as the most memory and largest storage capacity. You have great control over which devices and peripherals you connect, it and has multiple warranty and support options.

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the HP Laptop Battery

The HP Pavilion dv7 is a multimedia notebook available for less than 800 Euro (~$1035). Although, the buyer might not get the newest hardware, they should be happy with the nice aluminum case.

17-inch multimedia notebooks are quite popular. These laptops are often used as desktop replacements as they require less space and are easier to transport. Buyers looking for such a 17-inch model with fast hardware will quickly find themselves on the HP homepage looking at the Pavilion dv7 series.

In this review, we will test the HP Pavilion dv7-7000sg. This laptop with battery such as HP HSTNN-YB4D Battery, HP VK04 Battery, HP DV4-5000 Battery, HP DV4-5200 Battery, HP DV6-7000 Battery, HP DV6-8000 Battery, HP DV7-7000 Battery, HP Envy M6-1100 Battery, HP MO09 Battery, HP TPN-W109 Battery, HP HSTNN-LB3N Battery, HP MO06 Battery is priced below 1000 Euro (~$1300), and offers a 17-inch screen with a dedicated Nvidia GeForce graphics card, an Intel Core i5 CPU and sufficient RAM and hard disk space. However, the buyer will not receive a Full HD screen or a Blu ray drive. Read on to find out how the laptop performs in our test.

Our test model has a slightly different look from the previous models of the dv7-6xxxx series. As expected of a Pavilion dv7 model, HP uses a lot of aluminum. This makes the model look and feel nice, and aluminum is much sturdier than synthetic material. The aluminum surfaces look as if they were lightly brushed, which gives them the typical "grooved" structure. The matte black finish looks very nice and high-quality, without being too thick. Sadly, the surface is not resistant to fingerprints. So the buyer will have to occasionally take a cleaning cloth to their laptop.

HP continues the design on the inside. Matte black aluminum surfaces cover the base and this helps make the laptop sturdy. For example, the hand-rest regions are quite strong and do not budge under force. The keyboard does give way a little under modest pressure. The stiffness of the display is medium.

The large screen can only be partially opened with one hand. After a certain angle (around 40 degrees), it pulls the base of the laptop upwards with it.

The HP Pavilion dv7 offers everything that is expected of a multimedia notebook. For those, who wish to use the laptop as a desktop replacement, a RJ45 LAN interface is provided that supports 10/100 and 1000 Mbit/s datatransfer speeds. For those users who wish to be more flexible, the WLAN module offers the freedom to surf on the web without any cables. Even those users, who wish to reduce the number of cables on their desktop, by using a wireless mouse will be pleased with this model as it has Bluetooth on-board.

The Pavilion dv7 requires between 8 and 13.9 watts while idle/during low usage. This is not bad for a laptop with a 17-inch display. As is clear from the numbers, the power-saving mechanisms of the laptop do a good job, especially while it is idle. The dv7 performs quite well, even when compared to smaller notebooks. For example, the Medion Akoya P6633 (2450M, GT 630M) which uses the same graphics card and CPU consumes 10 - 17.8 W while idle.

At maximum load, the power consumption is forcibly reduced. On average, it lies at 82 W. However, if the notebook is at full load, the consumption drops to 72.2 W. This is done by throttling the processor (limiting the clock speed). The power adapter should not have a problem with such values. After all, its 90 W specification covers the range discussed in this review.

We used the BatteryEater program to analyze the battery life of the HP Pavilion dv7.

The maximum run time of our test model was recorded using the Readers test. This test simulates an idle/low load scenario. The notebook lasted a good 8 hours and 17 minutes. However, this test is not very practical, as the notebook is often in standby mode if it has not been used for a while.

The WLAN test gives us a more realistic time frame. This test simulates surfing on the Internet with higher brightness and the WLAN module switched on. New webpages and online videos are loaded constantly. The Pavilion dv7 squeezes out 4 hours and 49 minutes in the WLAN test. This is a good run time, and one, which, most everyday users will be able to reach.

In the DVD test, the Pavilion dv7 lasts 3 hours and 43 minutes. This is good news for users who wish to watch epic movies on-the-go. At full load, the battery life drops to 1 hour and 24 minutes. The laptop requires 1 hour and 45 minutes to fully recharge the battery.

Providian Medical Zonare ZS3 Ultrasound Review

The ZS3 price allows it to be ideal in point-of-care bedside ultrasound situations, particularly with its shared service capabilities. Image quality is very good on the Zonare systems, and these later-generation models are known to be more stable than the first generation Zonare ultrasound systems.

HP EliteBook 850 Review

HP EliteBook 850 Review

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the HP Laptop Battery

A business-oriented Ultrabook, the HP EliteBook 850 provides solid performance, usability and connectivity in a well-built package with a lofty price tag.

HP caters to the exclusive market for premium thin-and-light business notebooks with its new EliteBook 850. Its key features include a 1080p anti-glare display, good keyboard and touchpad, Windows 7 availability and support, solid build quality and enterprise-level features like Intel vPro, a Smartcard reader, a docking station port and user-serviceable internal components.

The EliteBook 850 with battery such as HP ZBook 14 Battery, HP EliteBook 850 Battery, HP ZBook 15u Battery, HP CM03XL Battery, HP HSTNN-DB4Q Battery, HP HSTNN-IB4R Battery, HP HSTNN-LB4R Battery, HP 717376-001 Battery, HP 716724-1C1 Battery, HP HSTNN-YB4D Battery, HP EliteBook 750 Battery, HP VK04 Battery has a professional-looking black and silver aluminum exterior. The chassis is exceptionally thin at 0.8-inch and the whole notebook weighs just over four pounds; this would have been unheard of for a 15.6-inch notebook several years back.

The base of the notebook is impressively rigid, barely flexing at all when I tried to twist it by its corners. All surfaces on this notebook are flex-free even under abnormal pressure. The EliteBook 850’s lid is strong and resists twisting motions. The display panel itself is well-protected – I failed to get ripples to appear on the screen by applying pressure to the back of the lid. This notebook was clearly designed with durability in mind.

The HP EliteBook 850 sets the benchmark for business Ultrabooks; it manages to incorporate state-of-the-art technology in a well-designed chassis that has respectable battery life and performance. Continuing our long list of likes for this model are its good backlit keyboard, excellent touchpad and high-end business features such as a Smartcard reader, Intel vPro technology, dedicated docking station connector, built-in mobile broadband and exceptional access to internal components via its tool-less bottom panel. Our major gripe with the EliteBook 850 is its lackluster display; it needs a contrast and saturation boost.

The EliteBook 850 is expensive; our custom configured review model loaded with options topped $2,292, over double its starting price. HP’s custom configurations are noticeably more expensive than the pre-configured models; we recommend choosing one of the latter if possible. The EliteBook 850’s competitors are few and far between and unable to match its extensive feature set step-for-step. Is the EliteBook 850 worth its asking price? It’s fairly priced unless you can stomach a thicker notebook, in which case there are numerous options that carry a significantly smaller premium and deliver an equivalent feature set.
