The N9912A’s base function is a cable and antenna analyzer and it can be configured to include a spectrum and transmission/reflection 1-port vector, 2-port scalar network analyzer.

Cable and antenna analyzer
Fifty to sixty percent of cell site problems are caused by faulty cables, connectors, and antennas. Degraded feed lines cause poor coverage, unnecessary handovers, paging failures, and access failures on uplink. To avoid service quality problems, it is critical to keep cell sites’ cable and antenna systems in good condition.

Use FieldFox to make return loss, VSWR, insertion loss/transmission, one-port cable loss, and distance-to-fault (DTF) measurements. You can test antennas, cables, ilters, and ampliiers with a single instrument.

Return loss and DTF measurements
FieldFox can make both return loss and distance-to-fault measurements at the same time. This helps you correlate overall system degradation with speciic faults in the cable and antenna system.

The built-in cable editor allows you to edit existing cable types on-site, and save them as new cable types with user deined names.

Measurements in the ?eld without the need to manually calibrate
Each instrument is CalReady at the RF Out port, immediately following power-on or preset. This means Qit’s already calibrated and ready to make measurements such as one port cable loss, VSWR, return loss, and DTF measurements at the test port.

Field strength measurements
Field strength characterization is a common test performed by operators in the field. To make accurate measurements, the gain and loss of the antenna and cables need to be accounted for. With FieldFox, antenna factors and cable loss data can be loaded using either the front panel or the Data Link software.

Limit lines simplify testing
Limit lines or masks can be used for quick pass/fail testing of devices or frequency spectrums. FieldFox allows you to deine fixed and relative limit lines, for both the RF spectrum traces and S-parameters. Additionally, with a single key press, you can build a limit line table from a current trace, and add offsets or margins to simplify your testing process.

The Site Master S113, with a frequency range of 5 to 1200 MHz, is a hand held SWR/RL(standing wave ratio/return loss) and Distance-To-Fault measurement instrument that includes a built-in synthesized signal source and an optional power monitor. It uses a keypad to enter data and a liquid crystal display (LCD) to provide a graphical indication of SWR or RL over the selected frequency range. The Site Master S113 has a built-in distanceto- fault capability. The Site Master S112, as well as model S113 with battery like Anritsu MS2028B Battery, Anritsu MS2027C Battery, Anritsu MS2035B Battery, Anritsu S361E Battery, Anritsu S332E Battery, Anritsu S362E Battery, Anritsu S412E Battery, Anritsu S113B Battery, Anritsu S114C Battery, Anritsu S251B Battery, Anritsu S251C Battery, Anritsu S311D Battery, allows measurement data to be converted to Fault Location via the companion Software Tools program. The Site Master is capable of up to two hours of continuous operation from a fully charged internal battery. Built-in energy conservation features can be used to extend battery life over an eight-hour work day.

The Site Master is designed for measuring SWR, return loss, or cable insertion loss and locating faulty RF components in antenna systems. Power monitoring capability is available as an option. The displayed trace can be scaled and/or enhanced with settable frequency markers and/or a limit line. A menu option provides for an audible “beep” when the limit value is exceeded. To permit use in low-light environments, the LCD can be back lit using a front panel key.

A PC based software program (called Software Tools) provides an online database record for storing measurement data. Site Master Software Tools can also convert the Site Master display to a Microsoft Windows 3.x graphic. Measurements stored in the Site Master internal memory are down-loaded to the PC using the included serial cable. This null-modem serial cable connects between the Serial Interface connector on the Site Master and a Com Port on a DOS/Windowsbased PC. Once stored, the graphic trace can then be displayed, scaled, and/or enhanced with markers and limit lines. Historical graphs can be overlaid with current data by using the PC’s mouse in “drag-n-drop” fashion. The underlying data can be extracted and used in spreadsheets or for other analytical tasks.

The Software Tools program also performs DTF (Distance To Fault) or Fault Location by clicking on the appropriate icon.

Since the DigitalFlow GS868's transducers do not obstruct the flow, they generally do not cause any pressure drop. The DigitalFlow GS868 has no parts that foul or collect debris, and no moving parts to wear out. As a result, it requires no lubrication, cleaning or other routine maintenance.

With its broad range of measurement velocities and its ability to measure flow in any pipe from small to very large, one DigitalFlow GS868 meter does the job of several conventional meters. It handles pipes from 2 to 48 inches in diameter and velocities from 0.1 to 150 ft/s―in either direction―in saturated or superheated steam.

In addition to the standard single-channel model, an optional two-channel model provides enhanced accuracy when measuring two paths on a single pipe. It can also be used to measure a single path on two pipes.

In addition to velocity, volumetric and mass flow data, the DigitalFlow GS868 also provides diagnostic parameters such as transit times and sound speed, to aid in setup and troubleshooting. Any of this data can be easily printed, logged, sent to an analog or digital output, or read in numeric or graphic format on the dual window display.

The DigitalFlow GS868 flowmeter makes it easy to send the data where it needs to go, through the standard digital output, standard or optional analog outputs, or optional alarms. All outputs are conveniently set up and calibrated from the keypad or from a computer using PanaView™ PC-interface software.
