The Folio 1040’s design is a hybrid of business functionality and consumer desire for aesthetically pleasing products; this is the trend for modern business devices. It does away with straight edges and corners but keeps the business simplicity by using a two-tone color scheme and clean lines.

The quality of build is outstanding; the chassis is all but impossible to flex either by pressing down on the surface with abnormal pressure or grabbing and twisting by the corners. Fit and finish is also excellent; gaps between parts are minimal. As a matter of fact, the Folio 1040 is made of few parts to begin with – this tends to be more expensive, but ultimately yields a more compact design. Build materials consist of magnesium and ABS plastic.

We use our new Powermark benchmark in Balanced mode to test battery life. This test is a combination of automated web browsing, word processing, gaming and video playback workloads. This test is more strenuous than our previous test and produces expectedly lower battery life numbers.

The Folio 1040 lasted 4 hours, 15 minutes; this number is right in line with other Ultrabooks including the Acer Aspire S7. It outruns the Dell Latitude 7440 by about a half hour. Again, note our tests are more demanding than a typical workload; users can expect a couple of hours beyond the numbers we received from this test for everyday usage.

What comes to hardware, these subnotebooks usually offer entry level performance. Indeed, this HP Stream features a dual-core Intel Celeron N2840 processor that’s slower than regular Core i3 CPUs. It has 2.2GHz clock speed with 2.6GHz turbo, and could be describes as home user friendly processor. It’s really not powerful enough for demanding work, but it’s still a logical choice for this laptop because HP Stream wasn’t intended for power users in the first place.

HP Stream 11 (K2L95UA#ABA) has 2GB RAM, just fine amount for some browsing and other lightweight stuff, but for those who like to multitask and keep many browser tabs open, four gigabytes would definitely help. Sadly, the RAM is so called on-board memory and can’t be expanded, so you have to settle for the default 2GB.

These subnotebooks usually have small but fast drives. Indeed, this model sports an eMMC drive, which should allow for booting times around five seconds. The drive itself offers 32GB space, just a little bit of storage, but I’ve heard you can get free 1TB from Microsoft’s cloud for one year if you subscribe to Office 365. And of course, the storage can further be extended with an SD memory card or external USB hard drive.

Operating system is unsurprisingly Windows 8.1 (64-bit). That might not please everybody, especially because the display is a non-touch version.

HP Stream 11 (K2L95UA#ABA) features 11.6″ non-touch screen with 1366×768 resolution. For graphics, you’ll get Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail), one of the worst modern graphics engines, which wouldn’t run latest games at all. That being said, subnotebooks weren’t intended for playing fancy graphics heavy games (think about Battlefields, Thief) so again, such a low-key graphics card is logical choice for this laptop. Older games, like Minecraft and World or Warcraft would run on it, especially if you can sacrifice settings a bit.

This laptop comes with 2 USB ports, one being USB 3.0. Not a lot, but at least sufficient for mouse and another peripheral. A full size HDMI output is also available, meaning that you can plug the notebook in to a HDTV if you don’t enjoy its small display.

Subnotebooks rely heavily on Internet, more precisely on wireless networks. HP Stream 11 (K2L95UA#ABA) features a single-band 802.11 b/g/n WiFi with Bluetooth 4.0 support. As it is, there’s no RJ-45 port available for wired connection.

With the SD media card reader, you can transfer data from devices such as digital cameras. However, media card might not be your favorite format, in which case you’d probably like to use a DVD. But to disappoint you, this model doesn’t come with an optical drive. If you want to use CDs and DVDs on it, you must get external optical drive.

There’s a front-facing HD webcam and microphone installed on top of the screen, so Skype video sessions are possible on this laptop.

One of the best things about HP Stream 11 (K2L95UA#ABA) is the portability. It weighs 2.8 pounds, which makes it convenient to carry. There are not lots of moving parts since the storage solution is an SDD rather than a mechanical hard drive. Furthermore, the system sports a fanless design. As such, the laptop should be rather durable in use.

The 8.25 hours battery life also adds to the fact the laptop was made with on-the-go people in mind. Getting over 8 hours should indeed be possible on this HP, but only on lightweight use like browsing. For gaming and other heavier activities, the battery life naturally drops.

The system comes with Office 365 subscription for one year, which also allows for free cloud storage as noted above. In addition, a 6-month subscription for McAfee LiveSafe is included.

HP Stream 11 (K2L95UA#ABA) is a typical subnotebook: lightweight, runs silent yet cool and depends on the cloud storage to an extent. Performance-wise, it’s fine for everyday stuff, be it web browsing, video streaming or Skype sessions. Due to lack of RAM and real graphics card gamers and power users shouldn’t bother. Instead, home users and students that don’t require lots of performance and big screen, but rather want a portable and very affordable laptop should probably take a closer look at this HP Stream. In my opinion, for 200 bucks it’s quite a steal.

It’s already said that laptops are a dying breed. True mobile devices like smartphones and tablets are taking over. Well, from what I’ve seen, it seems that laptops are still holding strong. Particularly certain kind of laptops: small, portable and cleverly branded ones. Just like HP Stream 13-c010nr. We took the laptop under a closer examination and determined its good and bad sides for you!

The processor doesn’t do particularly good job in performance tests, although suffices for basic computing needs like browsing, printing and YouTube.

There’s 2GB DDR3L RAM installed on-board, which is rather small amount these days. It’d be good idea to have more if you’re into multitasking. Sadly, more RAM can’t be installed in this model, so you’ll have to go with the default 2GB.

Solid-state drives are in. Especially in these modern subnotebooks. HP Stream 13-c010nr’s drive is a 32GB eMMC. It’s not indeed huge in storage size, but faster than old hard drives. If you’re replacing your old laptop the user experience will be smoother with this one, although again, the mere 2GB RAM will limit the performance to a degree. You can’t fix little memory with a fast storage drive, after all. What you can however do is to use a memory card or 1TB free Microsoft cloud storage to get more space for your files.

The display in this model is 13.3 inches big. That’s pretty much the only difference between this and the other Stream model. The screen resolution is 1366×768. I’d usually vouch for a Full HD screen, but in this case the small display size justifies such a basic resolution. It’s not a touchscreen however, so you won’t be taking advantage of all Windows 8.1 (64-bit) features.

The graphics performance of HP Stream 13-c010nr could be described rather poor. The laptop features an integrated Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail) chip which is famous for running games slowly. You can realistically expect all the latest, graphics-heavy games have unplayable frame rates well below 20, especially when there’s only 2GB RAM installed. I’m talking about heavyweight titles like Thief, Wolfenstein: TNO and Battlefield. Some older games like World of Warcraft and Minecraft would run with acceptable FPS on low settings.

Ability to hook up peripherals is important, even in these small subnotebooks. The HP Stream offers 3 USB ports for that. One of them is USB 3.0 which you can also use to attach an external hard drive, giving you more storage space to work with.

The laptop features a WiFi adapter with Bluetooth 4.0 support. No Ethernet (wired) port is available.

HP Stream 13-c010nr is also lacking an optical drive – hence the small size. To overcome this, you can of course use an external DVD drive that connects to USB 3.0. In addition, you can also use the microSD memory card reader for data transferring or increasing storage space.

If you’re into video meetings, you’ll be pleased to know the computer has a HD webcam and an integrated microphone.

Probably the best thing about this HP laptop is the portability. It weighs just 2.8 pounds which is lot less than a typical 15.6 incher. The battery lasts up to 7 hours 45 minutes thanks to the small screen and power efficient components. As a result, the notebook is ideal pick for students, travelers and other people on the go.

Like with any small laptop, the keyboard and trackpad take all the space on the lower part, leaving the 10-key numeric pad out of this HP.

The HP made some kind of a deal with Microsoft and as a result, new HP Streams come with one year subscription for MS Office 365. Essentially, you’ll have access to Word, Excel and Powerpoint full versions for one year for free.

HP Stream 13-c010nr is a notebook for somebody whose not too keen on performance but is looking for portability and a cool brand. The core specs of Celeron processor and 2GB RAM can indeed deal with everyday computing well, but reach their limits quickly with demanding use or serious gaming. The strengths of this laptop lie in the portability: it’s very convenient to take a 2.8 pounder with you, and the battery will last almost for a full day. For the price, especially with the included MS Office 365 subscription, I’d say this HP Stream is a solid buy.

Want a Windows 8 laptop with a touch display? Easy, there are lots to choose from. Perhaps even too much – market is full of new laptops that all should be better than the others. So which one to pick? In this review, we’ll focus on HP TouchSmart 15-f010wm and tell if it would be suitable for your needs.

The laptop features 4GB DDR3L RAM. There’s one memory slot in total which supports up to 8GB memory. If you want the maximum memory, replacing the old 4GB chip would have to happen.

Storage drive in HP TouchSmart 15-f010wm is a 500GB 5400RPM hard drive. The space and speed are nothing spectacular, probably still fine for users who tend not to store lots of big files on their computers. Such a drive can anyway host small files, like mp3s and jpeg photos, in tens of thousands.

The touch screen is 15.6 inches big and comes with a 1366×768 resolution. Yep, it’s far from Full HD, but depending on your preferences can be perfectly fine. For example, I don’t mind having 1366×768 resolution on a screen this small – but your mileage may indeed vary.

The gaming capabilities are limited by the Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail) chip. Lightweight games like LoL and Minecraft should have around 20 FPS if you keep resolution and settings at minimum. However, you can say goodbye to demanding titles like the Battlefields, Watch Dogs and Thief, whose frame rates would constantly be far below 20 even with all eye candy turned off.

The Internet connectivity of HP TouchSmart 15-f010wm means a 10/100Mbps LAN port and a regular WiFi adapter without Bluetooth support.

There’s one basic USB 2.0 and two faster USB 3.0 ports available. Many times only one USB 3.0 is installed on budget laptops so this HP has a small advantage over the others.

Using external monitor – like HDTV – is possible through the laptop’s HDMI output port.

Like all HP 15 inchers, also this model comes with a DVD burner and SD memory card reader. Likewise, it features a front-facing VGA (640×480) webcam and a digital microphone.

HP TouchSmart 15-f010wm weighs 5.5 pounds, about the same than its touchscreen competitors. The 3-cell 31WHr battery shouldn’t give too great a running time – probably 4 hours at best.

For lightweight use, the Celeron processor is indeed perfectly fine, and many will also enjoy using Windows 8 on a touchscreen. The biggest culprit would naturally be lack of gaming performance with only some low-end titles working on this HP. So if you’re not too keen on gaming, for the price it’s currently selling the HP is an alright choice for home and office use.

Laptops often look the same. A black or dark shell without any fancy colors. Plain and simple usually works, but there are also those who dare to look different. HP 15-G007DX belongs to that crowd, sporting a cool red design. It might be one of its selling points, but a purchase should’t certainly be made only with the looks in mind. Performance is probably the most important factor in a laptop. The hard drive of HP 15-G007DX is slightly bigger than the usual budget laptop storage solution. Having a 750GB size, it offers plenty of space – for example my calculations show around 150 DVD movies could be stored there. However, what you gain in size you lose in speed: the drive runs only on 5400RPM so you won’t get speeds the modern solid state drives offer.

I can’t say a lot of good things about the display. Not that I can say lot of bad about it, either. It’s just a regular 15.6″ screen. It’s not a Full HD but the 1366×768 resolution should suffice for everyday computing just fine. The operating system being Windows 8.1 (64-bit) on a non-touchscreen means you can’t try all of the new features the Microsoft’s latest has, though.

There’s an integrated graphics chip called AMD Radeon R5 (Beema) in this laptop. It compares to mid-range Intel HD Graphics engines, so in terms of performance it’s far from a true gaming card. That said, some new games like Sims 4 and the sports games (F1, Fifa etc.) would run with smooth FPS at least on low settings. Many heavyweight titles, including Battlefield 3/4 would just work on low settings, with frame rates hovering around 20. The popular Minecraft shouldn’t have any problems when eye candy and resolution are kept low.

For your peripherals HP 15-G007DX offers two USB 2.0 ports and one USB 3.0. In case you prefer using the laptop through an external desktop monitor or a HDTV you can do that through the laptop’s HDMI output.

The Internet connectivity doesn’t surprise for good or bad. There’s the basic 10/100Mbps Ethernet port and 802.11b/g/n WLAN ready to serve your networking needs. Bluetooth support isn’t there out of the box, but you can use a cheap USB dongle to fix that shortcoming.

There’s a DVD burner installed in the laptop, so reading and writing discs is possible. For other means of data transfer you can use the built-in SD memory card reader.

Obviously there’s also a webcam and microphone in this HP. The webcam is not HD but a regular VGA (640×480) one. That said, somebody who bought this laptop commented the webcam is good – indeed, the resolution isn’t everything that matters.

What comes to weight, HP 15-G007DX’s 4.8 pounds is perhaps slightly better than most 15.6″ laptops’. However, same can’t probably be said about the operating time. The 3-cell battery has life of only 3-4 hours.

Typical for basically every 15.6 incher, the non-backlit keyboard has a 10-key pad on right for quick numeric access. Good for those who need it, otherwise it may be just in your way.

You’ll get some free software pre-installed. Of course, its usefulness can be debated. The free month for McAfee antivirus is probably worth keeping, though.

HP 15-G007DX is a laptop of basic performance and good looks. For all the home and office users, also students, there’s nothing it couldn’t do. The A8-series AMD together with 4GB RAM will easily run all your web browsing, MS Office and video streaming activities. Many games would also work on it, but you would have to keep the settings and resolution low. There’s nothing really bad about the laptop – no important feature is missing for example – so if you’re after an everyday computer chances are you would find this HP a keeper.

Called refurbished goods, these products can have much lower price than brand new items, making them attractive choice for budget hunters. The quad-core AMD A4-6210 processor has a clock speed of 1.8GHz. The clock frequency is not going to increase (unless you overclock), since there’s no turbo boost available. Its competitors are some slower Intel CPUs, namely the Pentium N3530, which this AMD beats by a little margin. The A4 still doesn’t quite reach Core i3 level performance, but is anyway recommended pick for most everyday tasks, such as Internet browsing, YouTube and occasional gaming.

6GB is the RAM amount of HP Pavilion 15-p020ca. It comes in 4GB and 2GB chips, so the two memory slots on mainboard are used. If, for some reason, you require more RAM, swapping the old chip(s) for larger ones is possible.

The hard drive in this model is 500GB big, a rather appropriate amount for such a cheap laptop. It’s adequate for daily activities, and can even suffice for some downloading – theoretically, such a drive can hold around hundred of thousand photos, for example. Its transfer rates are not that good however, just 5400RPM, which might result in general feeling of sluggishness. If you’re worried about that, there’s always the option to install an SSD.

HP Pavilion 15-p020ca enjoys a touch screen, so you’re welcome to use those touch and swipe features prominent in Windows 8.1. Otherwise, the screen doesn’t seem to be anything special with 15.6″ diagonal and 1366×768 resolution. It’s suitable for everyday computing, but not so much for professionals looking for higher quality and better resolution.

The AMD processor is a so-called System on chip, so there’s also a graphics engine called Radeon R3 in it. Not that it’s very good one, but some games will run. It can be (almost) compared to Intel HD 4000, so lighter titles like Minecraft, Fifas and Dirt 3 will be a smooth sail. The same can’t be said about many 2014-2015 games with fancy graphics, where FPS will unfortunately settle below 20.

A good thing about HP Pavilion 15-p020ca’s connections, it has two USB 3.0 (and one USB 2.0) ports instead of the usual single USB 3.0. You can also connect a HDTV or PC display to the HDMI output port.

Networking consists of a 100Mbps RJ-45 port and a 1×1 802.11b/g/n WiFi adapter. An useful little feature, Bluetooth 4.0 support is built in the wireless card.

The basic SuperMulti DVD burner is available on the right, with the ability to burn discs. SD card reader is likewise there for the benefit of digital camera and other small device owners.

Webcam is installed on the laptop, so you can (video) chat with friends and relatives on Skype.

5.62 pounds, the weight of HP Pavilion 15-p020ca, suggests rather poor portability. Together with 4-cell battery giving only ~3 hours life to the laptop, your best bet would pick something else if you’re a devout road warrior.

Not surprisingly, the cheap laptop has no backlight on the keyboard. A numeric keypad is however available.

Like every budget HP Pavilion, also this model has its share of pre-installed bloatware. If you don’t want to see it, your solution is to go to Control Panel and uninstall those useless programs.

Conclusion

HP Pavilion 15-p020ca is a typical refurbished laptop: low price for what it offers, although the tiny risk of getting a defect is always there. But these items can also be returned, and there certainly are good things about this notebook, too. For example, it offers a quad-core processor, touch screen and nice amount of RAM for less than 350 bucks. If you don’t have too much money to spend, a second hand laptop like this could be a great choice.

Let’s start with the performance. It’s the Intel Core i3-4030U processor that’s powering this HP. A 4th generation 2014 release, it has a clock speed of 1.9GHz and runs on two cores. In general, Core i3s are Intel’s mid-range processors capable of running most software without problems. That also includes some gaming support thanks to the upgraded Intel HD 4400 graphics chip (more about that further below).

The system comes with four gigabytes of DDR3L memory installed. There’s in total one user-accessible slot on the mainboard. While I’m not 100% certain about this, it’s very possible that you can indeed swap the default chip for larger one (8GB) to upgrade the RAM.

The storage doesn’t receive any extra points, being a basic 500GB hard drive with slow 5400RPM speed. That is of course enough for most people because half a terabyte can still eat hundreds of movies, but the read/write speeds aren’t lightning fast like with solid-state drives.

The screen is a smallish 13.3″ display with appropriate 1366×768 resolution. But it’s a touchscreen (comes handy with Windows 8.1), and continuing the special feature list, it also turns 360 degrees which essentially makes HP Pavilion x360 13-a010dx a heavy tablet. As such, you have a laptop and a tablet at your disposal.

Intel HD 4400 chip is better than some older members in that graphics engine family, mainly those chips seen in entry-level Pentiums and Celerons. On demanding games like Battlefield 4 reaching around 25FPS should be possible on this configuration. Minecraft would give more like any older title. Just keep the resolution and settings at minimum and you should get at least decent frame rates on most new games.

HP Pavilion x360 13-a010dx features three USB ports. Fortunately, two of those are actually useful USB 3.0. And while the display in this computer is truely multifunctional, there’s still an HDMI-out allowing you to connect the laptop to a larger, external display like HDTV.

A WiFi adapter with Bluetooth 4.0 is available for wireless networking. And while tablets don’t usually come with an Ethernet port, this hybrid model certainly does.

One possible disadvantage about this HP is the lack of optical drive. You must use an USB DVD drive if you want to play with dicsc. Fortunately, there are USB 3.0 ports present so transfer speeds won’t be a problem. An SD media card reader is also available for additional file storing and transferring.

The webcam is HP’s typical TrueVision HD camera with an integrated microphone.

HP Pavilion x360 13-a010dx weighs 4 pounds which, in my opinion, makes it quite a portable laptop. Up to 6.25 hours is the advertised running time, but I would take that with a pinch of salt considering there’s just a regular 3-cell 43Whr battery installed. Four-five hours battery life is a more realistic estimate.

While the keyboards of some hybrid laptop models detach, this HP’s keyboard doesn’t. It’s always attached to the upper part. There’s also no numeric pad on the right, which can certainly be a good thing if you have no need for a quick number key access – the 10-key pad would be just on your way.

I can see from the specifications there’s bunch of bloatware included. That’s true for most cheap computers, and to me it’s just a little nuisance. Uninstalling any program is easy from the Control Panel.

In conclusion

HP Pavilion x360 13-a010dx might be good pick for people who fancy the idea of laptop and tablet in one machine. The computer works normally as an ultrabook, and after turning the display 360 degrees you now have a (touchscreen) tablet at your hands. The performance is adequate for basic web surfing, office stuff, video streaming and even low-level gaming. Missing optical drive is a small disadvantage. For the current price I can somewhat recommend this HP – the bigger discount you get the better.

Its faster than the previous generation i3s, receiving over 3000 points in CPU Mark (4th generation i3s get ~2600). To put it short, the i3-5010U can be used for all daily tasks, including entertainment like watching movies.

There’s six gigabytes DDR3L SDRAM memory installed in the laptop. It comes on two DIMM-type sticks. This means you can go all the way to 16GB RAM if you feel the need. However, for most users, I think 6GB is the sweet spot for memory. It’s not too little such as 2GB (or even 4GB for some instances) might be or not an overkill like +8GB.

For storage, the computer relies on a good old hard drive. It’s very big, offering a 1024GB storage capacity. Speed is also the “good old” 5400RPM, not great at all, and if you’ve tried SSDs you will probably notice this notebook feels slower in use. In that case, you could remove the hard drive altogether and put such a fast solid-state drive in.

One of the distinctive features in HP Pavilion 17-G040NR is the display – it’s not your regular 15.6 inches but a bigger 17.3″ touchscreen. Don’t look for great portability here, instead for entertainment use such a bulky screen might be spot on. But the resolution is just 1600×900 so you won’t be watching Full HD movies without them being downscaled. Not a big deal in my opinion anyway, but good to keep in mind.

There’s nothing stopping you from gaming on this notebook if you don’t mind reducing eye candy. The graphics are powered by Intel HD 5500 engine that uses shared memory – in other words, it’s an integrated graphics card. If you keep settings low and resolution 1366×768, you should be able to get 15-20FPS with heavier games such as GTA 5. You’ll do much better with simpler games, titles like Sims 4, Fifa 15 and Team Fortress 2 will work fluently here.

HP Pavilion 17-G040NR comes with three USB ports. Two are USB 3.0, one is USB 2.0. The notebook also sports a full-sized HDMI output; connect a TV to that if you want to use the laptop through a bigger screen.

HP Pavilion 17-G040NR weighs a lot like these bigger models always do. The unpackaged weight is 6.84 pounds. The unit’s 4-cell 41Whr battery is likely to last the usual 4 hours under light workloads, like web browsing.

Unfortunately, keys don’t light up on this model, it would be bit pricier if backlit keyboard was supported. However, numpad is planted on the right hand side.

A big laptop is never a bad choice if you don’t care about portability or you’re not a “road warrior”. These things work wonders for home or office use where you don’t have to carry them for long times. You’ll be able to use HP Pavilion 17-G040NR for all the most common programs, also gaming is not off limits given you can play with lower settings. Replacing the hard drive with SSD will provide a big performance increase. All in all, a very well priced general use laptop.

There’s not a lot of performance in HP 15-f305dx – that shouldn’t come as a surprise, knowing the cheap(ish) price of this notebook. The computer runs on the AMD A6-5200 processor, a quad-core 2.0GHz chip without turbo. It’s very comparable to fourth generation Intel Core i3s, all of them receiving around 2500 points in CPU Mark. It’s not excellent, don’t try to use this laptop for very heavy work, but anything “lightweight” (such as web surfing) works fine.

The notebook comes with 4GB DDR3L SDRAM memory. A casual user isn’t likely to need more, power user perhaps is. There are two DIMM slots on the mainboard and only one is taken, meaning you can upgrade the memory to 8GB easily. Maximum RAM supported should be sixteen gigabytes.

You’ll get a regular 500GB 5400RPM hard drive for storage. I would not call it wonderful, although in absolute terms half a terabyte is still quite much – it can take ca. 100,000 images for example. You can also up the computer performance big time by replacing the drive with an SSD.

I don’t notice anything special about the HP 15-f305dx display. The size is usual 15.6 inches, resolution 1366×768. Not a professional’s or graphics designer’s dream, but again, it goes for a home user. It is not a touchscreen, but it’s not a big deal with Windows 10 anyway.

Don’t use this laptop for hardcore gaming. It doesn’t have good enough graphics for that. The graphics engine is Radeon HD 8400, a slow integrated unit comparable to Intel HD 4000. As an example, you’ll get ~25FPS with Battlefield 4 played on low settings and 1024×768. So minimum eye candy and not great frame rates. Heavier games like GTA 5 and The Witcher 3 are pretty much unplayable. Minecraft, League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Go will work if you don’t up the settings too much.

HP 15-f305dx contains the usual three USB port – one of those is USB 2.0, beware of that. The rest two are USB 3.0. It’s also possible to connect a HDTV or PC display to the laptop’s HDMI port.

The laptop has 10/100Mbps Ethernet (RJ-45) connector and n-type WiFi card ready to connect you to Internet. Bluetooth is not available, but you can get that with USB adapter.

Optical drive is installed, creating and reading DVDs won’t be a problem. The unit also houses SD card reader, you’ll be able to use that with those tiny memory cards from cameras.

There’s a VGA webcam in front, allowing you to attend video meetings using Skype.

HP 15-f305dx seems to weigh 4.82 pounds which is ounce or two less than the average. The notebook includes a 3-cell 31Whr battery, you’ll probably get around 4 hours out of it before a recharge is needed.

The keys won’t light up, but a numeric keypad is available on the unit.

There is nothing that makes HP 15-f305dx different from other budget laptops. It has a decent processor and enough RAM to keep common programs running and movies playing. Some low-level games will also work, but don’t try demanding types like GTA 5 – those would lag too much I’d say. If it’s a simple laptop for day-to-day computing you want, this HP is probably all you need.
